‘Balancing Business Goals with Personal Priorities’

Metro’s Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council hosted a successful breakfast panel on Tuesday, May 24th at Blue Ridge Lumber in Kenvil.  PWB is here to not only support women in the construction and remodeling industry, but to offer educational programs and networking opportunities.

We had a well informed and successful group of women who helped us with their “Balancing Business Goals with Personal Priorities” topic.  They presented a business case study and shared how they would each advise the client in their area of expertise, yet all of them worked as a team to best benefit the client. Our panel consisted of Jennifer Polidori, a Senior Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch assisting clients manage their investments and portfolios; Carrie Ryan the CEO of Hanson & Ryan, works with individuals and companies with their insurance needs; Lauren Mechaly, Schenck Price Smith & King, LLP is an attorney who works with elder law and estate planning; Maria Rollins, KRS CPA’s LLC is an accounting firm that understands the laws and assists folks and businesses with their accounting needs in many areas.  Kristie Veri, President of Cleanscape Construction and Metro's VP Secretary.

• Be PROactive, not REactive
• If you have not done so already make sure to choose a Power of Attorney and a Medical Directive.
• A living will can help your family members during an unexpected medical moment
• Renew everything - make sure all important documents are up-to-date

This is an informative orientation to welcome Metro's newest members. However, it is also a great refresher for those who have been involved with Metro BCA for years as well. During this orientation you will learn the right way to utilize MemberZone, the MemberPlus App and being a member of Metro. In addition you will hear about the different Councils and Committees you may join and the many different events to attend throughout the year.
 

These orientations happen via Zoom and take place on the second (2nd) Tuesday of every month starting at 10:00 AM. Even though this event is free, open to everyone and via Zoom we do ask you to register so we have an idea of how many to expect.
