From a closed off, out-of-date kitchen to an open-concept, state-of-the-art appliances, hidden laundry room, walk-in pantry, wine fridge and more dream kitchen transformation.
|
A second living room space that was a tad dull and rarely used transformed into a beautiful and bright dining area used daily.
|
The Before & After of the living room space into kitchen (which was once closed off) felt a little separate due to the colums - now feels more inclusive and has a better flow and throughline of the house.
|
It's amazing what a paint job and a chandelier change can do to a foyer! In this case they wanted the house to feel light and airy so they decided to paint the banister white and change out the older chandlier for one with a more modern feel.

2022 Scholarship Funds
will be offered by the
Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of NJ
The charitable arm of the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of NJ is offering two educational and technical training scholarships. These funds are available to Morris, Essex, Union, Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren residents intending to pursue a career associated with the home building/remodeling industry. The 2022 awards are funded through the generosity of New Jersey Builders Association and Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of NJ members and other interested parties. The Association is responding to the industry’s dire need for skilled craftsman and craftswomen. A total of two scholarships of $1,250 each will be awarded.
In all cases, candidates must be full-time or part-time students who will attend accredited institutions with the intent of pursuing a building/construction-related degree or certification. Construction related is defined as general construction (i.e., carpenter, plumber, electrician, or any other trade related to the building/remodeling industry) or degree programs including, but not limited to: Drafting and Design, Construction Technology, Mechanical Contracting, HVAC Technology, Real Estate and Marketing, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Design, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Environmental Technology, Land Use Management, Construction and Business Management, and Landscape Architecture.
Scholarships will be awarded in the form of tuition paid directly to the institution. The selection process, conducted by the Scholarship Fund Committee, will be based on the following criteria: (1) the student’s desire to enter the building/remodeling industry as a career, (2) the student’s academic ability/potential and (3) the student’s financial need.
To be considered for all scholarships, students will need to complete the application from Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey. The deadline for all completed applications is extended to May 20, 2022. You may mail the application to the Metro office address or email it to memberservices@metrobca.org
